With concert season in full swing and costume sourcing keeping everyone busy, here's something to think about when considering your costumes for 2027!

For those who have ever wondered how the Dance Station Bangkok Costume Buying Trips began, here is a little bit about my journey and what you can expect when travelling to Bangkok with us.

And in 2027, we will be changing up our trip blueprint slightly... so watch this space!

With a strong background in dance, my Dance Station journey began 17 years ago after closing my own dance studio. Recognising a lack of costume opportunities within Australia, I initially began hiring dance costumes to local studios.

This quickly expanded into costume sales, initially catering to Australian studio owners and eventually growing into a business that now serves dance studios around the world.

We are passionate about providing beautiful and affordable costumes for studios working within lower budgets, while also offering stunning and unique designs for those seeking competitive and high-performance costumes.

Whether you're outfitting a recital, competition, concert or special event, we're committed to helping every dancer shine.

But my love of travel actually began much earlier!

My family and I went on a cruise when I was just three years old. Apart from contracting tuberculosis in the Philippines 🤣, it sparked a lifelong and very passionate love of travel!

Fun fact: I have lived in both London and Vancouver and have travelled to Bangkok more than 50 times!

In 2009, I flew to Bangkok to source costumes. While there, I met some wonderful Thai costume suppliers and quickly realised the incredible opportunities available to Australian dance studio owners.

In 2010, I began taking Dance Studio Owners from Australia to Bangkok to source their own costumes.

And the rest, as they say, is history!

For 17 years, I have built incredible relationships with our beautiful suppliers and our superstar courier. I genuinely consider many of them family. The respect, trust and genuine interest we have in supporting and encouraging each other's businesses is something very special.

After 17 years of travelling to Bangkok and building these relationships, I have gained an incredible amount of knowledge, insight and access to a vast network of costume suppliers, market stall owners, shop owners and couriers.
